Firsts

1. I came across a March Madness scripture study schedule so I can read the entire Book of Mormon by the end of the month. It's a lot of reading everyday, but it's worth it to be able to say I read it cover to cover for the first time. Here is the link if you are interested.
2. My friend is hosting an Open Mic Night on Saturday and we are performing 2 songs together. So basically there has been a ton of practicing going on. I brought the keyboard out of O's room and its been living on our kitchen table for the past few days so I have easy access to it (and yes, my notes on the stand are not only all over the place, but they are also on one of O's drawings.)
3. O had his first dentist appointment ever!  Trying to get the x-rays was a nightmare (I don't know why they even bother trying with toddlers), but the actual teeth inspection wasn't so bad. He was able to sit in my lap for that part which made it a lot easier. I wasn't able to get any pictures of the actual 'seeing the dentist' part (I was either holding him down or holding him in my lap the whole time), but we got some good shots of him playing in the waiting room. They have this awesome built-in playhouse right in the middle of the waiting area. Not to mention old-school arcade games in the back corner for O to enjoy when he gets a bit older.
4. Mommy made some progress as well- I added kale to my green smoothie. I've been super nervous about incorporating it for awhile. I heard somewhere that you need to massage the leaves before you use them and get rid of the stem and it all just sounded too complicated for me. Plus I was anticipating a really green taste for some reason. Kale seems like the ultimate in healthy green options to me so I guess, in my mind, a strong taste accompanied that, but it really wasn't bad at all! I'm getting excited to experiment with even more things like cucumber and celery.

Another first this week was L sleeping through the night. It was totally a fluke- it only happened the one time, but this gives me hope. I see restful nights on the horizon.
